Accessibility
Accessibility policy & statement
I want this website to be easy to use, including if you use a keyboard, screen reader, magnification, or voice control. If something makes it difficult to find what you need, please let me know.

My commitment
This site is designed and reviewed against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA, the standard most often used for public and health-related websites. The goal is simple: every page here can be read, navigated, and understood without relying on sight, sound, or a mouse alone. Reaching out for support can be hard enough. I do not want the website to make it harder.
The policy behind this statement
This policy explains who is responsible for the website, how to ask for help, and how accessibility is reviewed.
Who is responsible
- I am responsible for this website and its accessibility. Please contact me if you have trouble using a page so I can arrange for it to be reviewed.
- Clinical care is provided under the supervision of Christina Whitney, LMFT #111050, at Attune Center for Healing; questions that concern care rather than the website are handled through Attune.
- Outside websites, such as Google Maps directions pages, are controlled by those services and are outside this policy.
How to make a request
- By phone to (530) 605-2567, or to Attune Center for Healing at (530) 638-3811 if that is easier.
- Through the California Relay Service by dialing 711 if you use a TTY or a communications relay.
- No health information is needed to make an accessibility request, and none should be shared by phone or voicemail.
What happens when you ask
- I can help you get the information another way, such as reading it over the phone, explaining it in simpler language, or mailing it in large print.
- Where the problem is the website itself, the page is corrected and the fix is added to the checklist used for every future change.
- I respond as promptly as my schedule allows. If you have not heard back, you can also call Attune at (530) 638-3811.
Keeping this policy up to date
- Reviewed at least once a year, and whenever pages are added or substantially changed.
- Every new page is checked against the same list before it goes live: written descriptions on photographs, visible keyboard focus, headings in order, text that stays legible over any background, and controls that work with a keyboard alone.
- A formal third-party audit will be noted here with its date once one has been done.
What has been checked
Photos and media
- Every photograph carries a written description for screen-reader users.
- Images that are purely decorative are marked so they are skipped entirely.
- Text over photographs sits on a deep green wash so every line stays legible.
Keyboard and screen reader
- A “Skip to main content” link is the first thing you reach when you press Tab.
- Menus, dropdowns, and buttons can all be opened and used with the keyboard alone.
- Whichever item you have tabbed to is marked with a visible ring.
- Page structure uses proper headings so a screen reader can jump between sections.
Reading and zoom
- Text can be enlarged up to 200% without anything disappearing or overlapping.
- Layouts reflow for phones and tablets rather than shrinking a desktop page.
- Colours were chosen so body text and headings keep strong contrast on cream.
- Care and supervision details, insurance, and emergency information appear on every page.
No forms, on purpose
There are no contact forms, intake forms, or message boxes on this site. You can reach me by phone or contact Attune through the practice’s website.
Known limitations
There are some limits to what has been checked:
- The site has been checked with keyboard navigation, screen-reader spot checks, and automated tooling, but it has not yet had a formal audit by an outside accessibility firm. Findings from that audit, when it happens, will be worked through and this page will be updated.
- Some pages link out to Google Maps for directions. Those pages belong to Google and are outside this practice’s control; if a directions link is hard to use, the full street address is written out on the page and a phone call will get you the same information.
- If a scheduling tool, chat widget, or booking calendar is ever added, it will be chosen for accessibility and privacy first, and added only if it meets the same standard as the rest of the site.
Need this information another way?
Please call if you need the information read over the phone, sent in large print, or explained a different way.
You can also call Attune Center for Healing directly at (530) 638-3811. If you use a relay service, dial 711 and give the operator either number.
If you are in crisis, call or text 988 for the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, or dial 911. This website does not provide emergency care.
How this policy and statement were prepared
This policy and statement were last reviewed on October 9, 2026. They reflect the current site and are rechecked whenever pages are added or substantially changed. I will keep working on accessibility, and I welcome feedback about your experience using the site.
