Intensive therapy programs

Therapy intensives with Anne-Marie

Therapy intensives give you multiple hours of focused work in a day — scheduled as weekly intensive sessions or another agreed schedule. Together we make space for grounding, therapeutic work, and integration, without promising a particular timeline.

More time, thoughtfully paced

Multiple hours in a day

Focused intensive

Time for preparation, focused therapeutic work, and integration, with breaks. Length and availability are discussed before scheduling.

Several hours, same day each week

Weekly intensive

Ongoing depth without stepping away from work or family for a full week.

An intensive may fit if…

  • You have done weekly therapy and keep running out of time just as the real work begins.
  • You are processing complex or developmental trauma that needs long, uninterrupted blocks.
  • You want more time to understand relationship patterns and build connection.
  • You travel, work shifts, or live hours away and cannot commit to a weekly hour.
  • You are preparing for or recovering from a major life transition, surgery, or deployment.
  • You want a more focused format with time for both processing and integration.

What an intensive day looks like

  1. Arrival & grounding. Settling, orienting, and setting the target for the day.
  2. First processing block. Brainspotting or another agreed approach, paced to your readiness.
  3. Break. Food, quiet, a walk outside. Integration happens in the pauses.
  4. Second block. Continued therapeutic work, paced to your nervous system.
  5. Closing & aftercare. Resourcing, support between sessions and your follow-up plan.

Intensive therapy questions

What actually happens during an intensive day?

Days are structured, not marathon talk. Blocks of processing alternate with grounding, movement, snacks, and rest, so your nervous system can integrate rather than flood.

Do intensives replace weekly therapy?

They can, or they can supplement it. Some clients do an intensive and then taper to monthly check-ins; others come for an intensive while keeping their existing therapist, with coordination.

Are intensives available online?

Yes. Many intensive formats run over secure video for clients anywhere in California, though some clients prefer to meet with me in Redding for multi-day work.

Who is not a good candidate?

Intensives are not appropriate during acute crisis, active substance withdrawal, or when a higher level of care is needed. Your consultation call screens for this honestly.

How do I prepare?

You complete an intake and a preparation session first, so day one starts with the work rather than paperwork. We also plan your aftercare before you begin.

What does an intensive cost?

Contact Attune Center for Healing for fees and coverage details before booking. Insurance coverage for multi-hour sessions can differ from standard therapy; do not assume that your plan covers an intensive.
